Spider Enemies

The praying mantis will kill any insects including spiders and other praying mantis's they come across.
The biggest and greatest threat to spiders is.... other spiders. During times when food is scarce, its eat or be eaten. A familiar spider in most homes is the daddy longled spider, this spider is a great spider killer, in the spring she is one of the only spiders to survive. During the winter she will kill and eat almost every insect and other spiders, if food is still scares she will even eat her own kind.
Spiders are also at risk from us, humans, with natural landscapes being destroyed for housing for people, with insecticides being used on crops to people killing them out of fear.
