In modern times, even spiders that are medically significant and can be very dangerous to people, can be feared no more. With anti venom available, deaths rarely occur. Many people believe spiders are insects were in fact, they are actually in a class of their own, Arachnida. They feature two body parts, the cephalothorax and the abdomen that are joined by a narrow waist. The waist is called a pedicel. The Cephalothorax is normally harder than the abdomen, and the cephalothorax has the spiders eight legs attached to it. Spiders prey on mostly insects. If all spiders were to die, insects would become a very big problem, as spiders are our main pest control. Spiders are the largest group of carnivores animal on the planet, they do not eat solids as they do not have chewing mouth parts. Spiders need to envenom their prey, this does two things. The first is to disable the prey and paralyze them. The second is to turn the preys insides into a liquid the spider can suck out. There are over 40,000 species of spiders with most of them being timid and fleeing from humans, only a few are aggressive and posse a threat.
